If challenging family relationships have affected a child’s ability to spend time with a caregiver, a judge may intervene. Families with an eligible Montgomery County Court Order for supervised visitation or monitored exchange have free access to the Safe Passage Center by JSSA—a family-friendly, safe space for children to remain close to their parents regardless of family dynamics. The Center remains neutral and monitors child exchanges or supervises parental visits on-site.

Supervised Visitation
Supervised visits are overseen by trained, neutral visitation monitors inside our center. Visits are scheduled for a maximum of two hours once a week. For consistency for the children, visits will be on the same day/time each week. Scheduled appointments are required for all visits.
Families can qualify for supervised visits with a current Montgomery County Final Protective Order.
Monitored Exchange
Monitored exchanges allow for the safe transfer of children within our center at court-specified times and intervals. JSSA’s Safe Passage Center has separate entrances and waiting areas, and our staff ensures staggered arrival and departure times.
