One of our core areas of service is ensuring hospice patients are provided quality end-of-life care in Montgomery County. We support physical, emotional, and practical needs with compassion and cultural sensitivity. Our steady presence helps our neighbors and their loved ones experience quality of life even during this most difficult moment.
JSSA’s Hospice includes the following comfort care and support services:
- 24/7 medical oversight
- Emotional and spiritual support and counseling
- Nutritional guidance
- Pain management and symptom control
- Provision of medications, medical supplies, and durable medical equipment
- Assistance with personal care needs
- Visits by trained volunteers providing companionship, reiki and music therapy as well as pet therapy visits
Eligibility for End-of-Life Care with Hospice
An evaluation for admission to JSSA’s Hospice, completed by a JSSA clinical Hospice team member, is available seven days a week to residents of Montgomery County, Maryland. Hospice is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans.
